Services Explained

Holy Communion 

A Eucharist service. A celebration of Christ's Last Supper where consecrated bread and wine are shared. Uses services taken from "Common Worship". There is a guide to help people who may not be familiar with it.

BCP Communion

As above only using the 1662 "Book of Common Prayer". This service usually only takes place at All Saint's, Canwick.

...and Breathe

A quiet, reflective service looking back to the week just gone and looking forward to the coming week. Some music, some prayers, and time to be still. Lasts about 30 minutes.

Morning Prayer

A non-Eucharist service based on bible reading, prayer and praise.

Service of the Word

A more informal, non-Eucharist service designed for the whole family and focusing on the Bible.

Benefice Service 

Usually on the 5th Sunday of a month and nearly always a service of Holy Communion, the Benefice Service is the only Sunday Service in the group of churches and is attended by the congregations from all three Churches. It gives us an opportunity to meet our brothers and sisters from the group's other churches, gathered for worship together in one place.

Carol Service

Usually a traditional Christmas Carol Service held in the 2 weeks before Christmas.

Christingle Service

A service for Children where Christingles are made, usually held during Advent.
